This episode marks the conclusion of the first Orchestrating Change Leadership Program, a summer initiative that brought together nine college students twice a week via Zoom to engage in meaningful discussions on diversity, equity, and inclusion; connect with more than 30 industry professionals; and build the skills needed to become the next generation of leaders in music. In addition to these conversations, the OCLP students collaborated to design an educational program aimed at addressing issues of accessibility and inequality within the Canton community. Their final presentation left the CSO staff, board, and community members inspired and eager for what’s to come. We look forward to 2022 and the next chapter of the Orchestrating Change Leadership Program. A special thanks to OCLP participants Samaria Hill, Valerie Mathis, and Irene Guggenheim-Triana for lending their voices to this episode.
